PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (AOWD) builds on the level of the PADI Open Water Diver course. It provides additional theoretical knowledge and strengthens your practical skills. You will be trained in the skills of deep diving to 30m and navigation. Furthermore 3 additional adventure dives are waiting for you.

*Dive Against Debris*

TSK has made a conscious decision to dedicate one of these adventure dives to the topic "Dive Against Debris" starting in 2022. You will be trained and certified as a PADI Dive Against Debris Diver in addition to PADI Advanced Open Water Diver. Not only do you participate in an adventure dive collecting trash from a dive site, but you also learn more about identifying the various pollutants that litter our waters. After your dive, all data collected will be submitted to Project AWARE. You actively help tackling marine and lake debris and finding solutions for a cleaner future for our Blue Planet.

Course content

• Knowledge reviews about the individual mandatory and adventure dives, including “Dive Against Debris”
• PADI Specialty Course “Dive Against Debris”: theory, collecting trash and submission of found data after dive
• 5 open water dives in total

Theory

For the Advanced Open Water Diver you receive a digital PADI eLearning code to prepare.
For the Dive Against Debris course you receive a PADI Project AWARE brochure (PFD) to prepare.

Requirements

• PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or equivalent certification
• Medical certificate (not older than 1 year)
• Minimum age: 15 years (12 years for PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)

Equipment

Diving equipment is not included in the course price. Missing items can be rented at dicscounted prices.

Course Type

Group courses offered by us are advertised with fixed dates (see "Course dates"). If you have a busy schedule or want to enjoy individual attention, we recommend the VIP course. The private course is designed for a self-formed small group of two or three people. For VIP or private course bookings, please indicate a few possible dates in the "Message" field when you register.

PADI Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox)

You can complete your PADI Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox) certification together with the PADI Open Water Diver. If you combine the two courses you benefit from a CHF 40.00 discount.

Insurance

Insurance is in the responsibility of the participant. We recommend a membership with the Schweizer Unterwasser-Sport-Verband  SUSV.

General Terms and Conditions and Cancellation Policy

We refer to our general terms and conditions, in particular to the cancellation policy. The mentioned registration fee is CHF 60.00 per participant.
