PADI Basic Freediver

This course contains the basic theoretical knowledge and techniques of freediving in time and distance diving.

In the pool we will first deal with time diving, a good preparation for all other disciplines. We will familiarize ourselves with the breathing stimulus and learn techniques for efficient diving as well as securing and rescue. Afterwards we focus on distance diving with its different techniques. Here we work especially on fin and dive techniques and on hydrodynamics in order to dive as efficient and oxygen-saving as possible and therefore to dive longer, deeper and further. Safety and rescue exercises for distance diving are also on the program.

Optimal course to get an insight into freediving. Also suitable for scuba divers who want to achieve safety in "no air" situations.

If you want to immerse yourself completely in freediving, you can attend the Basic Freediver as well as the Freediver Course in only one weekend.

Requirement
Minimum age 12 years 

Course content
Short theory overview of techniques and safety.
Breathing Workshop.
Practice in the pool: static diving, distance diving and diving and rescue techniques.

Theory
The theory in this course is completed in advance by participants using the self-study tool PADI Freediver Touch. Please let us know at your registration in the field Remarks, if you do or do not have such a login yet.
