PADI AWARE and TSKPADI AWARE

Protecting our planet together

NOW IS OUR TIME

The threats to our underwater environments, whether that be in the lake, river or ocean, are of concern.

That is why we at TSK support the «Decade for the protection of waters» of PADI and PADI AWARE. In this way, environmental protection projects can be advanced.

But that is not enough for us. With additional active participation in local environmental protection measures, we can and want to achieve much more together with you directly in our community.

As we have done in the past, we will also be involved in local clean-up activities in the coming years. Together with divers and non-divers we will dispose of garbage in local waters.

You want to regularly clean waters from litter? Get in touch here to help with the trash divers.

2022 WE WANT TO GO ONE STEP FURTHER

Our mission? "To actively integrate the topic of PADI AWARE into our course landscape". Within the PADI Advanced Open Water course we train participants to PADI Dive Against Debrisdivers to create awareness for this problem. The topic "Diving against garbage" becomes an integral part of our TSK training philosophy. Because every dive can be a dive against garbage.

This not only sounds great, but also helps. Because on each of these dives, we thus remove trash together step by step directly from the local dive sites and can ensure that it is disposed of correctly. The collected rubbish is analyzed and counted by the participants during the course, so that the pollutants found can then be collected by our diving school office on the huge PADI AWARE Dive Against Debris® Map. With each Dive Against Debris ® dive, important data is thus collected that can be used by environmental research or in politics for environmental protection.

Already in January 2022 we have trained all our instructors (more than 60 active PADI instructors in total) as "PADI Dive Against Debris" instructors for this mission. We are ready to pass this knowledge on to you!

Educate, inform, create awareness and lead by example is our motto. Symbolic for this step on 01.01.2022 we have collected the first data at our annual New Year dive in the river Limmat. And also the Tschiggi Season Opening 2022 in February was dedicated to this topic.

You want to know what we have already collected so far?

Check out our previous entries on the Dive Against Debris Map. Together with your commitment, this list will grow continuously!
