In 1878, a journey into the depths of the earth began as the first miners drove the initial tunnel of the Nuttlar mine forward. What followed was an over 100-year era of slate extraction and processing, employing up to 200 workers. However, the true beauty and fascination of this mine are revealed only when you look beneath the surface.
